I have so many memories from my childhood growing up on the farm. I remember Dale coming up and hanging out talking to my dad. Vickie and Tom kept there horses there. There were six of us Sward kids and Dale would pay us a penny a piece to go pick the briar things from the pastures. We would pick them for hours and pile them up beside him after while we would start sneaking them back off the pile and handing them back in. We know that he knew we were doing this but he never said anything. The next day we would take our money and go get a bag of penny candy. We also used to pick walnuts and butternuts and then he would take us for soda and chips. We didn't have much as kids but we had a lot of fun growing up on the farm. Memories I will never foget.
